My CPO clearance event wedge turned up today. 45% off a "very good" used wedge - $64 delivered. They knocked it out of the park again.....
Well….. went to GG for my fitting today.
Went in KNOWING I was getting the Ping G730 with the recoil dart 75 shaft with power spec
Well, wasn’t great with my numbers.
Tried the AI smoke, nice-Impressive.
Tried the Titleist T350, meh not bad
Tried the Taylormade QI10 irons DAMN!
Like rocket ships off the face! 10 yards further than the Ping G730.
Started with the Dart shaft 10 yards further and straighter -NO LEFTS.
Switched to the Ventus blue shaft 15 yards further than the Pings & no lefts and a gentle 3-5 yard fade.
Ok, HOW MUCH.
$105 cheaper than the Ping, even with the ventus shaft. PLUS Taylormade was giving an extra 50% trade in on irons!
So wait a minute.
New irons $105 cheaper than I expected, $190 more on my trade in, 15 yards longer, and just a little baby fade!
And 1 more thing, only $243 out of pocket.
I’m dreaming this right?
No really…..It’s all true.
And it gets better, I get them in 7-10 days!
Only 1 problem, what do I do with my Ping bag? I mean I have been a Ping guy for more than 30 years…. I kinda feel like I lost a friend. BUT if they work in the course like they did in the store…. I GOT A NEW FRIEND
