Grand Stranded
Keep grinding… you never know

It’s been a rough week.
My dad passed away last Thursday morning, so I drove up to Long Island that afternoon. Even though he was about to turn 95 he was living with my sister from when my mom passed so he lwas always surrounded by his family.
He lived a long, happy life. It was time though as he went downhill rapidly after a family party back in February. He was married 71 years to my mom., and they had 3 children, 4 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
I didn’t want my two sisters to have to do it, so I just finished packing up his things, some of which will be which will be distributed to the family, others donated to charity and some disposed of. I’ve been running on adrenaline the past few days, but now that everything is done, I’m drained.
As much as you know it’s best for God to take someone, it’s never easy when it happens. I’m going to spend another week up here visiting with my family (especially my two baby grandchildren) then I’ll go back home and hopefully be able to play golf with a clear head for the first time in months.
I just need time to exhale and clear my head.
