Golf shorts: How short is too short?

You are in the Shorts 365 Days A Year Club? Restaurants, parties, holiday dinners etc...? I know a few guys like that and when I meet a stranger wearing shorts on a rainy day I usually ask him if he is in the club and every time the guy will shoot at me a smile filled with pride.

I had a pair of shorts in my hands today until I realized they had a 9" inseam. Back on the rack they went.
 
Fashion is a very strange phenomenon. Not many years ago you couldn't buy a pair of shorts above the knee. And too many had cargo pockets.
This Old Guy likes them just above the knee.
 
I wore 8" today and it was like having pants on.

Sounds like you had capris in your hands.
 
Whatever length is just above the knee is about my limit. With my hockey legs, anything shorter just feels stupid.

Oh, I've been on the train for a while now. My son convinced me to try shorter athletic shorts for football practice and I was instantly a convert. Will never go back.
 
I played in some 7 or 8" shorts this weekend. Whatever it was, that was too short. They're physically comfortable but not mentally. I prefer mid knee cap to just covering the top of my knee cap. I forgot I bought myself a pair after my son said they were "super comfortable".
 
For men, just above the knee. For women, five minutes to midnight is O.K. with me.
 
I might have exposed a "nad" once or twice in my backswing in the 70's and early 80's... Hopefully shorts that short don't come back into style. lol

I am fat and pasty anything above 9" looks super rough. Yall rocking chubbies or 7" shorts are an inspiration.
 
All weekend I played in 7 or 8 inch shorts and there is no going back. So comfortable and airy.
