What did you shoot today?

I shot an 83, (par 71) while using a golf cart. Scores of 39/44 for the nines. Just a nice easy round of golf, in very nice weather for this time of year around these parts. Had too many putts (34), no birdies, not enough pars, too many bogies, and one double bogey. Putting is where I could have saved some strokes today. Of the 18 holes, I had 16 holes with first putts of either birdie, or for par. The other two first puts were for bogey. I'll be walking tomorrow at super twilight. I usually play better when I walk. :cool:

Played 18 today before our 1st wedge shoot out person. Shot 80. 40 on the front and 40 on the back. 14 pars and 4 double bogeys. All four double bogeys were on the par 5s. Odd round with the way that finished out. Hit the irons extremely well.

Not Bad JB I'd love to hit 80.
 
I shot a 38 on a local 9 hole course. Hole #8 Par 4 shot a birdie, hit the pin and it dropped in on my third shot chipshot. No putting needed!
 
Played 18 with Rocketsauce this morning and it was an interesting day. Shot 79 again overall but it was an odd 79. The front 9 I had a 38 and that was with a double bogey and no birdies. I was just burning the edges with the putter all day. On the back 9 I was -1 through 15 and then put up a quad 8 on a par 4. Two penalty strokes. Then a double after that and finished with a 41 on the back. All in all, it was a good score, but I felt like I was hitting the irons far too well to leave that many putts on the course.

RS started out on fire. Shot 34 on the front and it was a good 34. It could have even been lower that is how good he was playing. Hit every fairway it seemed. On the back he lost his touch with the irons. Driver and putter still were working, but the irons were off. Put up a 44 on the back. Still shot 78 which was a great score.

OH MAN!! I bet RS is just smacking himself in the head after that one.
 
Yeah, he let a few shots get away. He should NEVER EVER get rid of his SeeMore putter. That thing was so good for him again.
 
Great rounds guys. They can always be better, but those are good scores with glimpses of greatness within close reach. :good:
 
yep, like JB said, i shot a 78 today, but it should've been MUCH better. Started out with a 2 under par 34 (2 birdies, 7 pars) on the front 9. then i blew up and shot a 44 on the back that included 2 doubles and a triple for a total of 78. the driver and the SeeMore FGP worked great all day, but on the back 9 my iron play was just off...weird. oh well, a 78 on that course is a good score, but it should've been better. but thats the way golf goes.
 
Well that lasted all of about 15 hrs:D Posted yesterday I didn't want to golf for the next few days, got off work & it was pretty nice out and the rain was holding off. Hit the course for a quick 9 holes walking with my new Clicgear cart. Dirt cheap to play here, $10 to walk 9 holes. It's 3,000 yds & a mighty 115 slope rating from the silver tee's.

Walked off with a 41 against a par 36. The FT-i was good for 4 out of the 6 fairways I used it on. GIR's were down with a lousy 2 but chipping was good as was the putter with 15 putts.
 
Glad to hear the itch came back...Its like a fungus I tell ya. hehe

Why do I think I can play this game? The course was sodden, and we were all lousy. I never get in the sand, and in nine holes I landed in five--count 'em, FIVE--greenside bunkers. That wasn't sand it there, it was sludge. I just couldn't get back out--no way to blast through that stuff. My putting was pretty good, but if you can't get on the green in a reasonable number, so what?

There's always the next round...

Fairways: 7/14
GIR: 7/18
Putts: 28:D

Plus I holed out for my first eagle of the year!:banana:

what was the score for the 9 claire ?
 
Shot a 77 (par 71). Played pretty consistent golf with lots of pars, one birdie, and the rest bogey 1s. The best part was I was the last one off the course. I walked, and had arranged for my wife to pick me up. The management folks had locked up for the evening, when my wife pulled into the parking lot. They told her no was left on the course, and she told them that I was on the 18th green which you could see from the parking lot. The guy had to come back and unlock the gate for me. He said he did not know I was still out there. I replied I thought the course marshal was supposed to make one last round to make sure, while picking up the flags. We had a good laugh and went on about our business. :comp:

Well Ladies and Gents, today I shot a 53 on the front 17 putts, and a 44 on the back 15 putts, 32 putts total, down by 9, from last Wed but get this, the best part is it was a 97 !!! so this is 2 weeks in a row now !!! and for the last 45 holes I've broken 50 4 out of 5 times. Man, I am enjoying this right now.

Awesome JC, congrats on the 44 on the back and the 32 putts.
