When I was younger, it was the dreaded “Double Nickel” for trucks in Texas. Almost a 1000 miles across Texas at 55 MPH.

I remember when it was 55 for everything. Cruising the interstate in a Ford Escort that was begging to be let loose was a joy. Getting a ticket for 61 in a 55 was not.
