AJ Styles just doesn't make a good heel in my opinion.

He just doesn’t know how to reinvent himself. Someone like Jericho for instance, when they got stale, they reinvented, and it worked. AJ is a made man, but he can’t reinvent himself.

This is probably the best way to say it. Its the same thing each time he's on air. He has great talent and skillset but it gets boring. Even Taker changed up for a bit
