I think fittings can always help....plus you can always go back and have fittings done as a swing changes, etc. to make sure your clubs are still tuned to your particular swing at that point in time.
True that, especially with the scoring clubs. It's pretty frustrating for anyone, and especially for a beginner to have to fight with their clubs based on having the wrong lie angle. A beginner could start making perfectly good swings at times, and then, for example his clubs are too flat, he starts missing to the right and starts trying adjust. jmho It's usually a downward spiral from there.
