UST Mamiya LIN-Q M40X TSPX Woods

It's a different game when you aren't losing golf balls during your rounds.

I haven't lost a ball in 63 holes, and hoping to extend that streak 🤞
It really is. And when you can continue from the fairway or near it, it has a drastic effect on score. I hit 50% fairways today. It was fun for a change :D

@DannyLe if I'm looking making the switch to one of these from Ventus Blue TR 6X should I be looking at White or Blue 6F5?

I have a TSPX Lin-Q Blue 6F5 driver shaft coming that’s being tipped 1”. Can’t wait to put it in play in either a Paradym or Ai Smoke!

Great choice @hadi05

I’m sure it’ll be great! Danny Le reviewed some things to see what would be best and I’m confident it’ll be great!

Got some news yesterday that makes me think it'd be a good idea to add this thread to my watch list.

As I said in the Darkspeed thread earlier in the year I tried all of the UST stock options for Cobra and didn't end up finding a fit that I loved. However, my swing was a bit slower back then (96mph) on good days. I did just finish speed training though last month and as a result I've added around 7mph and I've learned how to load/unload in a bit of a different way.

I'm very curious if that change could have also changed how I get along with the UST shafts now. Over the next couple months I'm going to set out to try all the DS/TSPX combo options again. And of course this thread is welcome to join along in my experimentation since I'll be posting my thoughts PRE-Shaft-UP experience here.

I've got the LinQ Blue for the driver & LinQ Red for the fairways coming in the Cobra lineup. Already know that the Blue performs, I'm hoping the Red is the same for the fairways. 👍

What weight and flex did you go with?

6F4 - 66g in Blue
5F4 - 58g in Red
Will be really interesting to hear your exprience with the 5F4. And maybe even to take a couple of swings with it.

Yeah I'm excited to have it in the bag.

Hello TSPX LIN-Q Blue 6F5! This shaft is a beauty and it’s really easy to swing!

Just put a Callaway ti[p on a RED TSPX and a Blue in my 3 Wood, can't wait to get to the range tomorrow
We are opposite, blue in my driver and red in my 3W.

Looks

Looks so good!

Yea, the shaft kind of changes hues of blue and purple depending on what it’s around (reflection)

The TSPX Lin-Q blue 6F5 may have unlocked a few things for me. The stability of this shaft from tip to butt is giving me tons of confidence (it is tipped an inch). I also can feel where the club head is in every part of the swing. For the first time in a long time my swing and the club are in sync.

I’m getting hip and chest turn on every swing, regardless of the width of my stance. That’s never happened. I have confidence to just go after the ball. It’s also helped my swing path be more consistent on an in to out path.

Can not wait to get this on the course. It looks good, feels good, gives me confidence.

As @DannyLe would say…

Is anybody playing the Lin-Q Blue TSPX 85g hybrid shaft? I apologize if I've missed discussion of it -- it's a long thread and the name is so similar to the more-frequently-discussed wood shafts, my search powers are failing me, haha.

I'm looking for a hybrid shaft with a slightly lower kick point than Ventus Blue 8S and Graphite Design Tour AD DI 85S. I'm thinking a Blue 85 F4 or 85 F5 (I'm right on the line between S and X based on their swing speed recommendations) might do the trick. I have a late release and tend to deloft my hybrids a bit too much, so I'm looking for something that'll help me kick them up in the air without sacrificing a ton of stability or bringing in hooks.

I do not play a hybrid, i carry a 1,3 5 woods I have the red in my 1and 5 and the Blue in my 3...THe blue is a fairway finder for sure and i can send it like a missile. OR i can slow it down a shade and fly it mid. easy to draw also

@shanewu look at these patterns!!!! I’m smitten with the TSPX Lin-Q Blue 6F5.

this post and the other one seem to reflect a lot of potential in this shaft for you! Love to see it! Your earlier post describing the feel has me super intrigued.

Yes! It’s completely eliminated a variable for me now. It’s all about club path and face to path from here out!
