Detroit Style Pizza

I've never had the pleasure of trying Detroit style. I do enjoy pizza and by the looks of this stuff I need to make sure I try it soon. Now that I think of it, I think I just saw a photo of a delicious looking Detroit style pizza on the food porn thread the other day. Had to have been @JB photo, no?

That actually wasn’t. That was a grandma pie, which is a NY thing. Very good

Where do you prefer to get the pizza from?
I'll be at Ford Field next Sunday to watch the incompetent refs butt bang the Lions again......... Letting the kids have any playoff tickets.

It’s been awhile since I had one but essentially instead of pizza sauce you have the chili and sliced hot dogs and mustard and onions as the toppings.

I had a best pizza in Chicago with Ryan Liberty that was amazing
 
Not had a Detroit pizza but it looks pretty amazing

THE best. And Buddy’s is awesome. We were surprised and pleased to find that there’s a Jet’s Pizza about a half hour from where we live in SC. We - and especially my wife - love Jet’s.

Every time I think Chicago and pizza I think about that hole in the wall place we go to.

Thats what we give the tourists. Chicagoans eat Tavern Style thin crust.
