Ugh sorry twin peaks does fit the bill with season 3 The Return. Which IMHO is one of the best seasons in all of TV.

I just picked it because it's so rewatchable for me. I think I've seen the two seasons four times now. I have no idea why they didn't finish up the BTK storyline.

I was a fan of Seinfeld at the time, and I still like Jerry, but George Can’tstandya, just makes the show unwatchable.
What makes a show good for me is if I still want to watch the reruns multiple times, makes the list for me. If the list was bigger, I’d add Perry Mason, Mad Men, Deadwood, MASH, Mork & Mindy and Emergency.
