Why should Rory stay on the PGA Tour? Obviously he is frustrated with a lot of things with the PGA, it is more and more apparent each day. Why should he stay?

Sure, he's had his bashing of LIV in the past, but things change. Does he "owe" it to the PGA to continue on and try to steer it in the right direction?

The only reason for him to stay on is the OWGR for the Masters (which can invite whoever they want). So there really isn't any good reasons

He doesn't owe anything to the PGA Tour. But, despite other sensational golfers playing amazing courses weekly, the Tour needs him. He's the biggest name among those currently active on tour and has the most wins. He should stay and continue to add to that wins total (despite any *)

He is likely already set for life monetarily. He moved to London for family reasons. Staying on PGA Tour would mean bundling tournaments around majors, most likely.

His only reason to stay on the PGAT is to keep his world ranking up enough to play the masters as he has no exemptions left from winning other majors. He would be find this year, but unless he came top 14 in this years Masters to get an invite back, his ranking would probably fall below 50 before next years invites.

Easier competition? It’s his best shot to finally win the Masters?

hasn’t the PGAT paid him boatloads of money the past decade via both front door and back door avenues? Isn’t that why he’s been their puppet the past couple years?

The masters is an invitational, which means they can invite whoever they want. Do we really think they wouldn’t invite Rory if he moved to LIV?

Simple. Because he said he would

Yes, they can invite whoever they want, but they do have a published set of criteria for who gets an invite that they do not vary from all that often.

He shouldn't... Lock it up.. lol

There will be more discretionary invites (ala Joaquin this year) as we move forward with the current landscape of pro golf

If he’s set for life financially, what appeal is there then for LIV? Rory can already set his schedule into any event he wants, so a 15 event season is a moot point.

What exactly would switching accomplish?

the appeal? Drive a stake into the heart of Monahan...

Even more generational wealth? For some people with money there’s no such thing as “enough” money. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Wouldn’t he have left the first offer they gave him on the original exodus? He hadn’t popped off yet against them. You think this offer would be better?

He should stay on tour if, and that’s a big if, he truly meant what he said about LIV at the beginning. I don’t think he did so I’m on board with him doing whatever he wants. It’s not like moving is going to make him any more/less of a bad guy

I think it depends a lot on where he thinks the PGA Tour is with merging with LIV. If they orchestrated this agreement to merge to end lawsuits and give them time to find another suitor and never intended to merge with LIV then I think they are not as two faced as they seem. If they still intend to merge with LIV then there really is no reason to stay. Basically what I would stand against is being a mascot for Saudi Arabia. If the Tour is going to force you to do that anyway, you might as well take the money directly from the Saudis instead of seeing what you get after it passes through everyone else's hands.

Because he ran his mouth and already has a quarter billion from Nike.

Better access to Augusta seems to be the only reason.

PGA left him high and dry imho
