What do you do for a living?

I work in Corporate Finance (capital markets)
 
Recent change of career.. I am now an auditor for the wonderful state of TN.
 
marketing specialist in the IT channel in San Jose, CA
 
We used to make plastics but sold that division last year.Our plant does strictly aluminum cans.
 
Drive a Transporter(Raymond 2 pallet riding pallet jack) around in Marshall's Distribution Center.

Raymond is about 30 minutes from me. They are in the news once in a while if they get a big contract or order.
 
I used to work at grocery warehouse and drove the same thing.We also had Crowns and Hysters..
 
Twill, I am willing to bet you know, and have played golf with, my dad. He was the long time production manager at a coke plant in your area.
 
Possibly but I doubt it.I really don't get to see many Coke employees unless by chance.I work for Ball Corporation and we are a supplier.

For some reason, I assumed you were a rep, don't really know why. That is a great job if you can get it, lots of golf on nice courses.

Yea we have Crowns, Tugs, Hoist, Forklifts, Stand lifts, Power Walkies, all sorts of stuff but i just drive a Transporter.
 
Soon to be back working in an office for an insurance company. Also, pondering if I'm going to go for a PGA of America teaching professional card or go to UF Law school. Time to get moving forward with my life.

still a cost accountant...but got called twice from 2 different people about the same position....A Credit Manager role for a private company, going in Tues to at least meet and see what they have to offer

I just couldn't handle the boredom of accounting. Really wish I didn't go to school thinking that was the way to go. More power to you if you can handle it though.

its not that bad, I went to school for it, then changed my mind and went the business management route.

Spent the past few years doing corporate finance work, got bored so they offered me this position. Not a big fan of it, or the company really, looking to move back to NE ohio next summer, but in the mean time, might as well see what this other company has to offer

I usually get calls a few times a month about job opportunities in either Finance or Accounting, so having the experience in both areas opens more doors for me

Always nice to be in a field that has people calling monthly with job offers in this market. Did you get your CPA? Maybe that was mistake, by not getting mine.
