What did you shoot today?

I played LB Houston today, a Dallas muni course. I've never set foot on this course before. I was hooking my silly driver today again, I should have put it up. My putting was a little better, well, fewer 3 putts anyway. I shot a 100, 50 front and 50 on the back.

Several of the fairways are pretty tight, so a few yards off and you're in the trees (and they're thick too) I had to chip back onto the fairway too many times. I lost 3 golf balls to water, all on pulled drives :at-wits-end:)

My buddy shot an 84 (a 46 and 38). All in all, we had a good time, and the weather was just awesome (80* w/ very light breeze)

Final Tally:

14 Drives

21 Iron shots

24 Wedge shots (100 yds and in)

38 Putts (down to 4 - 3 putt's)

3 Penalty Strokes

4 Fairways in Regulation

2 Greens in Regulation

2 Par's

9 Bogey's

4 Double Bogey's

5 (we won't talk about)

I don't add up my score til the end, so I don't know for sure what I need to do on the last hole or two (knowing I need to go one-over the last two to get a great score usually means I'll go double-double or worse! I generally know whether I am doing good or bad without checking my score.

We went out today - - - forgot the camera, so we are out of the photo contest - - - I shot 49-42, my wife shot 46-50, her best score ever, by 2 shots (HER SECOND TIME UNDER 100 WOOOOOO FREAKING HOOOOOO). I thought today was the day that she was going to beat me, but I shot on the back nine like I had earlier in the year. Still higher than I was shooting as late as August but best round in the last 5 or so. I can't believe how much she has improved in her first year. She hit almost all of the fairways today, I think I hit 5 or 6?

84 today (44-40).

Looks like it will be my last round of 2008, as it was 36 degrees when I pulled into the course at 9:00 this morning. Overall, a good year. Got my handicap down to a 15 from a 22 to start the year. Can't complain too much.
 
just got back from the course. my best round ever,78. playing again same time,same place next sunday. let's see what happens.

i played the same course last weekend, without the new driver. shot a 94! haha! today with my 78, 12 pars and a bird. also won 3/4 KP's(closest to pin,par 3's), for a total of $16 from 3 disgruntled sore losers, lol.

Yesterday I shot a 75. Once again no birdies. But only 3 bogies. Just missing putts that could have brought me a little lower. But my tee shots are still off.
 
Nice score again JB. No golf for us this weekend, highs in the mid 40s with 15-25 mph winds. Wind chill sucks. Temps in the 40s might be nice after being frozen in January but right after 70 degress, it's too cold.
 
my season is getting worse and worse. I am nursing a sore wrist and have gone against doctors orders by continuing to play. This happened roughly 6 weeks ago after a slash against the wrist while playing hockey. A week late I skated and hyperextended the same wrist.

I played 18 holes today, taped my wrist, layered it with a massive load of bengay, and took half a pill of oxycodine. I had to hit a cut all day and I wasn't able to turn my wrist over to hit a draw. I struggled and limped in with a 93. I hit roughly 6 balls OB off the tee.

The most frustrating round in years for me. My hand hurts!

no way... I'd rather post high scores, be in pain, and be humiliated by my scores then put the sticks away. They go away when the snow falls, they'll be plenty of time for rest then!
 
Shot a 102 this morning. I have been in a funk for the last 3 months. I played decent today, but I had a couple of blow ups that really hurt me.
 
At least you got to play, Gasman. Looks like this weekend is gonna be shot as far as getting a round in. May have to set aside time to clean the leaves out of the gutters instead.

I hear ya, it was a chilly 60* when we teed off and it probably got to 75 by the 18th. Buuurrr, haha.

40 on the front (5 pars and 4 bogeys)
38 on the back but it should have been higher. Chipped in for eagle and holed a 50 footer for birdie.

Nothing like a little salt in the wound, thanks JB. haha It is freakin' cold and windy here, where is that global warming AlGore keeps warning us about?
 
85 today at Williamsburg Country Club (41+44). Played today after 4 straight days of rain, wind was howling and it was around 50 degrees. Not too pleasant. Highlights today were back to back birdies. On one of them I hit a 3 iron to 3 feet, I was stuck behind a tree and had to hit a huge fade(not my specialty). Lowlights were a few 3 putts and a few bad drives.
 
Finally did the gutters today. No golf for us today, although it would have been an OK day for it. Had to do important stuff before it got too late.
 
Shot a 100 today. I had 4 triple bogeys, but the round finished off solid enough to keep me coming back.
