What cigar did you smoke today?

I smoke like 2 cigars a year, so I don't really know what I'm doing, but I have a golf trip in early June that I would like to buy some decent cigars for. Any recommendations on a crowd pleaser that won't break the bank?

If you don't smoke often a good medium bodied would be best. Arturo Fuente is always a good choice for brand.. I like some boutique brands, but honestly some really good cigars for the lower mid price point especially are curivari cigars

it is quite tasty

It’s Opus X season. I love that my local shop doesn’t gouge their customers for OpusX.

That’s one I can’t find locally. The 3 I’ve had I picked up in Fuente samplers I found online. I’d be broke if someone kept them stocked here

I don’t think I’ve ever seen one at the shop that goes for more than $15.

I guarantee they’d be >$30 here. Anything deemed higher end gets a ridiculous mark up. I rarely buy any Padrons, Fuentes, Plasencia, etc locally because of it

Does said shop ship out of state?

That's as good or better then etailer prices, depending on which opus

They do not. They still write every purchase down in a spiral notebook.

I had a rectangular shaped, coffee-flavored cigar from Drew Estate when I was back in Humble, TX recently; it was really nice.

It was fine. Nothing I have the desire to seek out more of. Nicaraguan tobacco isn't my favorite though, generally so YMMV.
