Vision Golf Ball Forum Review Thread

I wish you folks in America would stop posting pics before I get my test ones!!!. I am getting more aggitated by the minute.

Hopefully by the end of the week MikeF and Myself will have ours.

Usually takes 7 days at most for packages to arrive from THP for me.

Am hoping that they arrive tomorrow before my evening round

KellyBo is outside taking a picture of my balls. She should have a post up soon as she is the better photographer in the family. She even has a pink one in her test pack.

OG, you are killing me!!! LMFAO. I sure am glad she has a pink one to take a photo of!

Here are a few pics that I just took of MY Vision golf balls. I have to watch Ole Gray to make sure he doesn't take any of them. I hope Russell is a good swimmer because he's somewhere in one of the creeks at Grand Cypress. I absolutely love the look of these balls. I took a few to compare to the balls I currently play.

I agree I will be sure to let you know when I recieve mine. I think it will be a great focus point for me, but if they distract me i'll let you know. Im hoping, beyond hope, they arrive today before my 18, but if not I will make sure to hit the putting green and chipping green this week along with a round or two.

Thanks! Look forward to your thoughts.

Definitely some very cool looking golf balls! Looking forward to the many performance reviews on the way.

Haha KB!

RIP Russell you were a good golf ball
:cute:

Told ya we had some pink balls from Vision! Mine are the yellow and white X3 version which I will be putting in play this week. I might even let DawgDaddy play with one of mine. He would love to give ya'll his take on this product :thumb:

KB, are they all the same style ball?

Package Arrived!! I received to test UV:X3 and The X3

KellyBo great picture of the balls being compared to each other. These look GREAT!!

Sorry for the crappy cell phone pics as I am still at work.

Tried to get a picture of this compared to a highlighter. Picture does not do the justice of how this ball just pops in color compared to the highlighter.

I am totally with you on that. I would love to hit these.
I played yesterday and it was pretty overcast. I totally lost 1/2 the balls hit by myself and my playing partner. Couldn't see a thing in the clouds. I'm pretty sure I could see those UV Yellow ones.

Toad: I don't recall if you were picked as a tester but give me a PM if you want me to send some down. I've got a fair few of the UV X3's (mine) and Pinky's (wife's) and don't mind parting with some, espcially as I'm due to restock shortly.

Also nice to see some of the Aussie's who have been playing them longer then I have throwing in their two pence

Two of the white ones and the pink one are marked *WB* and have a clear coat soft gel cover.

One of the white ones is also marked *WB* but has the arctic cool blue-white cover.

The yellow one is marked "808 Prototype by Boz"

You and I received the same model. Can't wait to see if we get the same results.

They do look pretty cool! Don't let Ole Gray snag that pink one, I know he's been eyeing it.

Yep! And we are off to a good start with the same keyboard pic! :D

Sorry to keep posting but there are some smaller details that I am very impressed with.

You know when you have a proud and confident owner of a product when....

They put their own names and email on the golf sleeve.

I would love to play with some pink balls. I know the local guys would get a kick watching me grab one of these beauties out of the bag and teeing it up this Saturday! KellyBo will have them pink balls under lock and key. Maybe we can work out a trade :D

I saw that too, and thought it was awesome. you beat me to it.

First off, thank you to both THP and Vision Golf for the opportunity to try this product. I have been around for not even a month yet and am still in disbelief that I have already received the chance to review a product and give feedback to both the THP community and Vision Golf.

Initial Impressions: Upon opening my box of 6 golf balls, four things stood out to me.
1. The bright yellow of the "808" and "Russell 8)" balls. These really stand out...and unfortunately, so far I can only imagine what they look like on the course.
2. The Gel ball. I really like the looks of these balls. It appears there is a transparent cover on the outside.
3. The pink box.
4. The varying size of dimples on the golf balls. I took some side-by-side images next to a TaylorMade Penta for comparison. I am really curious how these will affect my gameplay.

Here are some images of my unboxing. I really hope to get these out to a course this week, but temperatures are going to be hovering around 100, with maxed out humidity (it feels like a jungle), and thunderstorms every day.
At the very least, I will have a chance to practice my short game, and give some feedback from that aspect.

Top of my box.

Looks like you have 6 different style golf balls there. Is that the case?

The Clear white gel looks very weird, what does it feel like?

Good stuff! Love the side by side shot with the TM Penta.

First impressions...is there a ball out of the 6 that you seem to prefer just by look and feel in hand?

Just recieved mine today in the mail. If I could just figure out how to upload the pictures-help!(it says its KBs are maxed out) I would put them up tonight. Due to heat I'll be trying to get out tomorrow for testing..

Initial thoughts,
Opening the box I have two yellows one Russell and the other the 808 series. I personally have never hit a yellow ball and am very excited to see how this plays and see if it helps find the ball in the rough.
I have one pink ball and same as yellow it's very different so I'm excited to see the results during play.
Two of the crystal balls which I have seen before and are an interesting concept to a golf ball.
And then the pure white which right off the bat I could tell by the dimples that this is meant for serious play. I'm hoping this ball is supposed to help with the spin which right now that's what I'm after around the greens.

Overall the big numbers really stand out to me you can clearly see them and won't have any problem seeing which ball is yours. I'm really excited for tomorrow to go take these out to the practice and putting greens to see how soft they can play and can't wait to put them up against my other balls.
