Just speaking for me personally, I try to participate in the question threads as much as I can.
Frankly I don't know about some of the equipment they ask about because I don't have the experience with it and don't fell comfortable offering an opinion. I don't feel inclined to post just to run up a post count.
Then there are some I completely miss. The ones I see, I get involved in, plus the MC equipment threads, all of them. Plus the PMs I get on a daily basis.
If I have a limited amount of time to be on the forum, it's difficult to spread my time to every end of THP.
There are more goals than to just gather support. I feel like some of us MCers haven't done as good a job spreading the word and making it a community event. I know I'm making it a point to gather more support by being more involved outside of the MC. That includes the social networking channels, more creative videos, more involvement on the homepage and equipment threads. It's a daunting task because of all of the new threads that invariably pop up every day.
I hope some others can follow along as well.
As I said, it was merely suggestions that came to me based on your statement. We know schedules can make things difficult. I think this event shows exactly that participants look at this event differently. And while some are well known on the forum because of participation, others are not. It is hard to ask forum members to have interest in something if they dont have interest or knowledge of the participants. It is what it is.
All we as organizers can do is plan accordingly and hope (and I mean hope) that we can do this again. And while we think like that, we take good notes from all the feedback that has been given to us by both the forum members and companies behind the event.
