EXPERIENCE The 2024 Titleist Vokey Experience
I really like it. I am excited to play with so many and especially looking forward to playing some golf again with that red bearded guy who happens to host a great podcast.
We are definitely getting closer! The excitement and nervousness are definitely building as sleep was a bit elusive last night, kept walking up with excitement and then having @Daluteh 's hole by hole breakdowns of BallyHack running through my head.
Now I wake up to the 4-some's being announced and names listed of those from Titleist/Vokey! Things are definitely getting real! I'm excited to get the SM10's in play and learn more about short game finesse. I don't think I've ever really played a Titleist club before.... why, I think it's mostly not understand what goes into the science behind the grind and bounce and working with being able to open and manipulate that club face.
Really looking forward to meeting everyone and getting to play some golf at a beautiful facility! 48 more hours of life to make it through and I can relax. My golf bag may already be packed up
........ although it will need to come out for league tomorrow night.
Absolutely cannot wait for this! Having the pairings out and the full itinerary makes it very real now.

How much did the fitters go into bounce? I know bounce is your friend and you should use it. Maybe I don't play wedges properly, but I hate seeing the leading edge so high off the ground with high bounce wedges. Or do I have that all wrong?
I know in my case, we were hurrying to get through the fitting process and didn’t get a lot of discussion time. I know I have always been open to higher bounce wedges, and with my fitting, he put me into a set with some options (higher bounce on the 54, lower on the 58)…and encouraged me to branch out a bit on the shots I worked on with the lower lofted wedges.

One of these days, I'm going to do a wedge fitting. Other than "bounce is your friend" and low bounce wide sole works well for me in the Misissippi summers on my course, I'm not very much clued in on bounce. Grinds? Less so.
