My son was 25 today. He is a volunteer driver/fireman on a heritage steam railway and asked me to spend the day on the footplate with him.

Great day was had by all but I am getting too old to climb up on top to fill the water tank and then shovel coal as well.

High school football playoffs

Was out at the course today hitting balls on the range. After that I found a spot near the driving range and sat down to have a 5 Vegas cigar. This is the view looking down the 8th hole with the back of the 7th green front left in the pic. Wind was blowing pretty good and watched a few groups hit big drives with the help of the following wind.

This guy was strolling by #1 green while we putted.

Played in 20mph winds gusting to 45. This is how strong the winds were. This fell on #13 tee.

Final regular season game and a must win for my daughter’s team in order to make the playoffs. They won 2-0 and I took some pictures.

My current view. All I can say is don’t ignore the smallest/slightest stroke symptoms. I’m lucky to have nipped this after having the smallest of strokes to man. But big enough to go to the ER. 3 cat scans 2 mri have shown 5 strokes. Luckily I’m given 100% chance of recovery. Unfortunately golf has taken a back seat for month. There cleaning my carotid artery out tomarrow. 90% blockage. Basically second chance on life.
