Par 3s are typically a longer shot in than most par 4 or 5 for me.Why does it seem harder to hit a green on a par 3 than a 4 or 5? LOL
I don't have stats but I struggle the most with par 3s.

To make maters worse our first hole is a par 3 generally plays around 185 yards , over water , two big bunkers on the right and left side of it. First swing of the day. We always say a four is like a par and a par is like a birdie . Lol i dont like this hole. A little easier if you play the back nine first but still a tough hole.
Given this thread...and data, why does the handicap system insist on making you give your strokes back to the course on par 3s only!A 3 is a 3. And any 3 is a good 3 imo.
Nice job on the Par 3s. But what jumped out at me was your driving. Well done!In the first time in a long time, I made par on all the par 3s yesterday, hit them all in reg and won $3 ctp from my son

I really can only speak about my home course because I don't really track scoring, but my best scores have come when I am even on the five par 3's. Whether it's 5 pars or 3 bar's, a bird & a bogey... collectively they are easy to moderate, but depending on pin location can be tricky putts. And yes, jut hit the green and go from there.Best rounds I've ever had don't have a lot of birdies in them but hitting the par 3's in regulation and making par is a major contributor for sure.
