I almost wanted to post this in the happy happy joy joy thread because that is how I feel. My Nike VR Pro Combos just arrived and I am ecstatic. I will upload a few pictures to start with and the unboxing a bit later. Unfortunately due to a prior commitment this evening, I will not be taking these to the range until morning. I will at that time give you my "official first impressions." Let me just say for now...
These sticks are AWESOME!!
I ordered these with the KBS Tour Black Nickel shafts
Standard Length 1* upright
Golf Pride Multicompound Red & Black
3 & 4
5,6,& 7
8, 9, PW
The distortion is not on the clubs, it is from my shaking the camera, I am just so excited!
More to come so stay tuned!!
YouTube works well for me.So where does everyone host their video's? I have to upload a small video. Wanted to do more but a massive TStorm came through the range after hitting balls for about an hour. I will save my real impressions for that post but a shorter version would be holy cow. I am so glad that I went with the PX and even happier that I went 5.0. I'm not even sure if the video thanks Nike & THP in it because I had planned on filming more. So in advance if the first video I post does not thank you guys....Thank you THP & Nike. I love these clubs. And an extra thanks to JB for talking me into the PX graphite. I was leaning but you pushed me over the edge.
Nice unboxing! Looking forward to your thoughts on them.BOOOOM!!!!! So excited to share this... Sorry about breaking the words fantastic/gorgeous/etc..

Really interesting analysis Canadan. I look forward to your comparison with your old set.
Canadan, excellent write up man. I look forward to reading about your post when you compare them to your mizzy's.
- It was about 95 and a bit humid today, and the sweat was rolling on the range. I will say that some of the grips got a little slick, which concerns me a bit.
you have the stock grips don't you?
Great initial impressions, just when I thought I had decided on my next set of irons, reviews like these have me pondering the Nike's again.
As mentioned previously, the smaller grooves do make it quite a bit harder to clean after dirt gets into them, but I hope to find out how it changes the ball as it lands on the green rather than the effort I will put forth to make sure they always stay clean...
I failed to mention this in my round write up from last night but I definitely notice this as well. The grooves are definitely smaller and it is more difficult to get all the dirt out. Even using a tee does not get everything out unless you have like a brand new epoch tee with a sharp point that can get all way to the back of the groove. I may have to try and find something that I can carry and use for groove cleaning that will not scratch the grooves or the face.

Maybe a THP spotless swing towel?
