New Irons, Shafts and Mizunos Optimizer

Sounds like you had a good first experience with the clubs. That is a sharp looking wedge. Did you end up with 50, 54 58?

Thanks - that wedge is awesome, it really is. I don't have the other wedges yet and am still a bit undecided. I may go 54 bent to 55 and then 60.

TriplebogieTim - hard stepping is putting a wedge shaft in your 9 iron and so on through the set. This makes the flex play slightly stiffer. Soft stepping is putting a 3 iron shaft in a 4 iron and so on through the set, this makes the flex slightly softer.

So my KBS shafts play softer than xtra stiff, but stiffer than stiff.

Will report back on the set after more practice and rounds, it's gonna be fun!

Okay, I get it, thanks for the explanation.

I really need to get fit for a whole new set:bulgy-eyes:

I have the chance to pick up a couple of Tour-S wedges by Ping - I need 54 & 58 but can get 52 & 58.

My plan is to go 46, 50, 54, 58 - does anyone have any experience of bending wedges to their desired loft? Any major issues bending a 52 to 54?

So I posted my WITB, but didn't show off my Custom putter.

So here it is....it's a Scotty Cameron Mil-Spec that I bought back in 2006 from the Bay and had it sent straight to the Custom Shop. They refurbished it completely - new shaft, grip, new milling and some stamps, including my name on the face.

Enjoy :)
