The ball definitely starts on the line you choose. I really like the F3 shape and the 3 dot alignment plate works well for me.

I don't know what plate would work best for me but I really like the shape.

I've been using the roll on stuff and it doesn't seem to do a thing. Think I need the spray.

Switch to aspercreme with lidocaine - I like it much better for managing pain during activity. We use it for alot of knees in wrestling tournaments.
