First Car, Best Car, Worst Car

Dual exhaust under the seat?

single exhaust, on the side. i rode suzuki's. had a few: sv650, gsxr600, 750, & 1000. the 750 & 1000 were track bikes, the 600's were for the street. the sv was the funnest to ride, it was loud, nimble, and torquey.

Yes, and its the same a the 135s, and 535s. I'm not sure about torque for them though, I have 300 hp and 300 ft.lbs of torque. With a 0-60 of 4.6 seconds :D

Google is a great thing isn't it ;)

Its a 6 speed SMG :)

my money would probably be on the BMW. that's a highly underrated motor. the local bmw dealership is a good customer of mine and i get to drive a lot of their cars.

really nice ride btw GC. take care of it!

First car- 1988 Dodge Daytona Shelby
Best Car- 2000 Saab SE Convertible
Worst Car- 2000 Saab SE Convertible

Re: First Car, Best Car, Worst Car

Is the BMW 4 door?

I wanted an r1 but at 150 lbs (me) and never riding a sports bike before I opted for the 600

Wise choice, mine still scares the crap outta me at times. I am used to winding it up in 1st gear & running it out to 95 before shifting into 2nd. But what really freaks me out is run her up to 140+ & nail the throttle & the damn thing accelerates so freakin hard that 170+ comes up right now & telephone poles look like fence poles because they are going by so quickly.

TC, 1st bike was a 1966 Puch 250 with the twingle motor. It was a 2 stroke 2 cylinder but both pistons ran off a common crank journal. In other words both cylinders fired at exactly the same time, so they called it a twingle due to being a twin but fired like a single.

Worst bike is easy, 2001 Buell X1. Biggest pos ever built, had a 3 yr long lemon lawsuit against Buell over that pile.

Best bike I can't decide, I really enjoyed my 86 1100 Shadow. My R1 is the most intense riding bike I could ever hope to own. But for shear fun & just getting out & in no big hurry my 96 Harley Dyna Wideglide is probably the best. Have ridden that bike from here to Sturgis, down to Florida & up the east coast into Canada. Lots of good times on it & never going to sell it.

smart move buddy. i nearly killed myself at Road Atlanta on 1000.

Dual exhaust under the seat?

I love the underseat exhaust, on cold days it keeps me nice & warm.

Never been on Road Atlanta but did over 100 miles at Daytona in 06, I don't like that track at all. The banking is rough as hell & beats the crap outta you.

Road America in Elkhart Lake is a nice facility though, always enjoy going there.

1st car was a '55 Chevy. Bought in 1965 from a little old lady for $95.00. It had 98K miles. The first day I had it, the transmission blew. It cost more for the transmission than I paid for the car.

Worst car was a 61 Pontiac Bonneville that I bought in 1970 while I was in the service. Not only a "boat," but a gas-guzzling, undependable monster.

Best car is a toss up - my 2006 Honda Odyssey, or my wife's 2007 Honda Accord EX, V6.

and my keep in the garage car:

^^ dyno tuned at 430 horsepower (not stock)

Sweet car CLG! What mods have you done?

that's hilarious. i just to hear that from some of my riding buddies. all my bikes are gone now. the wifey (mostly the mother in law) said no bikes until little man gets grown up. probably a good thing b/c i've had my fair share of bangups.

best bike for me was the sv650, worst bike was my first, HD sportster 1200 (98). it just gave me problem after problem. the first time i rode a sport bike (2000 gsxr 600) i was hooked and rode them exclusively for years.

First Car: 1977 Chevy Malibu- not this exact one but definitely not far off. My P.O.S. had 2 Cragar rims on the front and 2 black plain old rims on the back. It had holes in the front fender from my step dad slamming a wrench clean through the metal while p!ssed off trying to fix it. The gas gauge was broken and I bet I ran out once a month. But man did I think that rig was awesome!

Current Car and probably my best car: 2003 Yukon XL Denali- LOVE it and yes I can watch the gas gauge rapidly go to E as I drive it....but really as long as I lay off the accelerator it's not awful. At least that's what I keep telling myself. Needed the bigger vehicle to pull a camper.

Worst Car: 1985 Ford Escort. Again, pic isn't mine here but mine was awful. We nicknamed it the EOD (Escort of Death) because the smell of anti-freeze from the inside was so bad you didn't think you'd live through the ride across town. Mine was white with a navy blue from fender, ugliest thing in the world.

FIRST CAR: 1982 Ford LTD; as much as I tried to kill it, it just wouldn't die...backfired on demand, equipped with "power stalling", and was a nasty 2-tone burgundy on top, beige on the bottom that looked like peanut butter and jelly...

BEST CAR: 2005 Ford Focus; First brand new car I ever owned...rode great, great gas mileage, loved the "Sonic Blue" color..I'd still be driving it if it weren't for some idiot on their cell phone that decided to run through a red light...

WORST CAR: 1992 Oldsmobile Acheiva. Only had it for a little over a year and at 76,000 miles, the head gasket cracked and it never ran right again...

CURRENT CAR: 2008 Pontiac G5. Not too bad of a car. Gets good gas mileage (about 31 MPG), terrible trunkspace though (My clubs barely fit; usually they ride in the passenger seat); I do like this car, but I still miss the Focus...

BF had just purchased a 2000 Dodge Ram as well with well over 100,000 miles. It might just be the same one :D

If its bright red it very well could be.

Those dice are SWEET!

Mine is not riced out though. Nice exhaust note and doesn't sound like angry bees in a can.

My wife says that is the mating call from the shallow end of the gene pool.:D

Do they have to be fuzzy? Otherwise i'm out of the running:bulgy-eyes:

You'd have to show me what you mean.

Spoiler
I've only seen fuzzy ones hanging from the rear view mirror.

Sweet car CLG! What mods have you done?

Sorry bonk didn't notice you posted this.....this car was my previous obsession before the game of golf.....:banghead:.....turns out golf is just as expensive.......mods include, C6 ZO6 rims, lowered, heads, cam, full exhaust, ls6 intake, torque converter, re-geared, and all the basics subframe connectors, ported and polished throttle body, lid etc etc etc....thanks again for the compliment.~chris

First car: 56 Ford Fairlane Victoria, great car I had zero problems with it.

Worst car: 57 Chevy-traded in the 56 Ford for it. The car looked great but I had nothing but problems with it.

Best car: 2003 Ford SVT Cobra DSG coupe, bought it new in 2003 and since my 93 Stang was stolen it is my daily driver. It puts a smile on my face every time I get in it.
