About to gain some shop credit and pondering wedges and a 7 wood. Currently using a 50-56-60 with a 44* PW. Would a 48-52-58 or a 50-54-58 make more sense gap wise. The 50-56-60 is working out great at the present but????

It’s kind of a tough call. Personally, I like 50-54-58? But I know I can 3/4 a 50 to fill the gap between full 50 and full 54, and that I can also 3/4 PW to hit the same yardage as I can on a full 50 but with a lower trajectory if it’s into the wind.Pw 115-120 and 50 last few rounds, it’s a new addition to the bag, seeing roughly 105. @willplaysgolf
I think if you're happy hitting the 44* say 109 yards, and the other 3 wedges are working around the green, then I wouldn't change anythingPw 115-120 and 50 last few rounds, it’s a new addition to the bag, seeing roughly100-105.@willplaysgolf
I like to hit 1/2 to 3/4 with both the 44 & 50* wedges. The 56/60 have been great around the greens lately! Thanks for the insight.I think if you're happy hitting the 44* say 109 yards, and the other 3 wedges are working around the green, then I wouldn't change anything
If 50 gaps close enough you could go 50-54-58. If not you could go 48/9-52/3-58. No rule that says wedge lofts have to be even numbers.Pw 115-120 and 50 last few rounds, it’s a new addition to the bag, seeing roughly100-105.
If everyone would realize and accept this fact, the world would be a better place.Loft gaps don't matter. Yardage gaps do
Seems like that yardage gap is manageable. If you agree I wouldn't mess with the set-up it seems like you are enjoying.Pw 115-120 and 50 last few rounds, it’s a new addition to the bag, seeing roughly100-105.@willplaysgolf
