That's nuts. We did some weight lifting competitions in high school for football and I've seen some big benches but nothing like that

Thats crazy. Wonder if he had a bench shirt on. I got a buddy who's max is 400 raw and he's put up 525 in competition with a bench shirt. Either way pretty impressive...but if thats raw then its suuuuuuuuuper impressive.

Because the wearer still has to press 100% of the weight up. They just don't have to control it coming down.

They have geared meets and raw meets. The geared meets guy wear squat suits, deadlift suits and bench shirts. Never really made sense to me b/c they add strength...like whats the point.
