Matching Golf Maker with Equipment Maker

Title should say Matching Golf Ball Maker with Equipment Maker:

I have several drivers - Titleist and Callaway are my top favorites -- what is odd I play Titleist ProV and Pro V1X and also Chrome Soft Truvis. - The Chrome soft goes further than the Provs but only with my Callaway Driver... with the Titleist Driver the ProVs go the further. That is a bit odd don't Y'all think?

I would assume drivers/balls are tested with that companies equipment. They are tuned to match, I'm sure. Which may explain why each manufacturer can claim "our ball is longer/faster/etc...". And why 'testers' get differing results with each.
