Since the PGA Tour has banned these books I wonder if putting stats have gotten better or worse. On one hand the players don't have the detailed slopes etc. of the greens to help them out but on the other hand perhaps it frees up some players with less to think about. More of a feel now as opposed to going over a lot of data. I have no data one way or the other except that I do think it has picked up pace of play.

This would be a great discussion if there were stats to back it up. No way of knowing without them

I'm sure there are putting stats out there before and post the book ban but I don't have them.

I think this plays more and more into the AimPoint revolution too. A lot more guys doing it, and when you can dial it in, they're able to feel those same slope #'s they were getting to read before.
