I’m one of those who believes new clubs are not always the answer to playing better. I was playing back in the 70’s and I’m not scoring better than I was 50 years ago. But, if I was still using the same clubs I had back then, I’d definitely be scoring even worse today than I am now.

I’m good enough to PLAY any course, not necessarily good enough to score well though. I’ve never felt I wasn’t good enough about any course but I got old and lost a lot of distance. Now, I know I’m not long enough to play places or from tees that are too long for me.

My senior league which is independent of the course, plays on Wednesday mornings. 5 of our 20 weeks we’ll have to play at a different course because outings at our home course have taken our spot.
