My spin numbers with shorter irons on a mat are different than they are off of grass. I shallow my swing when on mats in the interest of preserving my joints.😀
Very rarely has a range session before a round correlated with how I hit the ball on the course that day.
Why do a large percentage of air travelers insist on standing close to the gate way before it’s their time to board, making it harder for others to get past them? Today about 30 people ”pre-boarded”, many of them able bodied adults with no kids, strollers, or disability of any kind. Another...
With all the different lofts of irons it’s not the same for everyone. My driver carry is about 76% greater than my 9 iron but I bet for many longer hitting players it’s double what their 9 iron is.
IMO, the most important thing is yardage gapping. All my gaps are 13-15 yards.
I don’t think I gained anything on GIR percentage when I moved from muscle back blades to forged cavity backs. Maybe I did on approaches over 190 yards?
I soon will have a set of Dynapower Forged so we’ll see if something more forgiving can help my GIR.
Evidently Bob Lamkin is staying around and working at Superstroke for at least a little while. Hopefully Superstoke doesn’t screw up the wide variety of Lamkin grip offerings or eliminate the name.
Agree. Driver carry of just 55 yards longer than a 9 iron is a bad fit or something really wrong with driver fit, shaft, or consistently bad contact. My carry gap between 9 iron and driver is 105 yards which works out to a 15 yard gap per club on average.
I went mid grind in the 50, 54(bent to 55) and 60 but also have a full grind in the 60 for some different courses where I need more bounce. I use my 60° about 90% of the time from greenside bunkers unless I have to carry the ball more than 30 yards.
I had a Bushnell fail one month out of warranty over a decade ago and they told me I was out of luck and it would be cheaper to buy a new one. I haven’t considered buying a product from Bushnell since. The two other Nikon, Leupold, and Cobalt rangefinders that we have in the various golf bags...
The pay to play cliche is especially true with boats. The $2/gallon surcharge is why I installed a 300 gallon skid tank with a 160’ hose that reaches down to the lake for boat fuel in Minnesota. That way it’s 10 cents cheaper than local pump prices.
There are a lot of average or worse than average financial advisors. We went through three of them between 2005 and 2017 before finding one we love. If my younger friends ask for advice I tell them time is your friend - start saving early and put away 15% of your gross income as soon as you...
2023 Ford Bronco and the same. My wife drives a diesel Range Rover and gets 29mpg. We both are driving a lot less now that we are wintering in Florida.
