I've been walking backwards on the tread (with the tread off of course), tibial calf raises, and whatever the calf raises are when you lean your hands on the wall. I do them between sets and it works out really well.
Week 2 of new program. Day 5/5 completed. I built this day to be easier than it turned out to be.
I am happy to report that the knee exercises @Joshnoble01 recommended have really had a positive impact on my ability to do lower body work without pain.
