2011 THP Demo Day Thread

The demo day really should be about the products that companies want in the consumers hands that are supplied FOR the demo day. While we will not tell people NOT to bring their own goods, we would prefer people trying to focus on the equipment that is supplied since last time many did not even make it to everything that is out there.

Just like last year, we request that most people do not even bring their current bag to eliminate clutter and work with what is on hand.

That kind of sounds like a taboo issue to me.

I know this is off topic, but where those ECCO Biom golf shoes that Bill Murray was wearing

I brought my bag last year only because I did not check it because I was dumb and didnt know PGA national was gonna be so awesome and do it for eveyone. so, My dumb dumb self was walking to my cart with my bag on my shoulder while everyone else walked to their cart with their name and already had their bags loaded up. I would just say...bring a glove and if you HAVE to have specific tees then bring them (but THP did provide Epoch tees for us)

Not being an official equipment vendor will not work?

Not necessarily. It depends, but we would rather have things setup officially. So if you have something you would like people to try, contact THP about it directly. This way if something breaks, goes missing, etc... people understand the ramifications. This way everything is still organized.

The amount of work that goes into getting this done and having the equipment there is borderline staggering. And while we want to have as many options for people as they would like, if a company chooses not to participate, I dont believe they deserve the coverage that comes with a THP demo day. My thoughts entirely, but I think that is how it went last year and I believe demo day last year was enjoyable for most.

Huh? This is a THP Demo Day thread.

Yes they were, and there is a full thread on them with pictures.

I thought Ole Gray was just saying he would have them there if anyone wanted to hit them. Just like if anyone in the groups I am playing in wants to hit any club in my bag , like the Mashie for example they are welcome to do so.

Being that it is in the official demo day thread, we assumed it was about Demo Day!

These guys never seem to step up to the plate which makes me question the product but once again lets see if Krank golf would like to send a driver or two to the demo day. They sure talk a big game so why dont you back it up Krank?

And I quote "Domination, Preparation and Execution were the key words all year for Krank Golf. Krank Golf has been the dominant golf driver in the Sport of Long Drive for a few years with two Remax World Long Drive Championships in the Grand Champions Division and more Long Drive wins at all levels than any other golf driver company."

Yet they never show up for mere mortals like me to hit at the THP demo day.

I just emailed the official request so if anyone wants to test this equipment it will be available.

That's because they only cater to the gods of the long drive. It'll be like me touching Zeus' lightning bolt. :D

I dont want to speak for JB here Ole Gray, but what I gather from what JB was saying is that if the makers of the Tour Striker dont want to respect the process and make the effort to get the product into the hands of the consumers, than the focus of the 50+ attendees should be on the companies that did make the effort to get the product there for us try.

THP believes that demo day should be about the companies that want to participate and believe that the demo day is important and valuable. The companies that choose to participate should be the ones featured and the feedback that people take the time to post, in my opinion, should be about those that took the time to realize the value of this huge event and the time and costs it takes to organize this.

Every single company in the world (generalization) gets the same invite and no company is singled out. It is up to them to participate and fortunately for our readers and attendees we have a staff here that puts in endless hours to make this demo day so incredible.

Why not let the equipment that is there be showcased, since every major brand will be in attendance rather than overshadow those by offering other products from a company that did not see a benefit in supplying to over 50 golfers doing unbiased testing?

Last year most of the golfers did not even make it through what was there from the companies, I do not think we should try harder to make that predicament a reality again.

You are 100% correct and I couldn't have said it better myself.

I would like to second what JB said.

Just when you think it can't better....it does! That list is a dream shopping list for any golfer.

Sweet! Looking forward to checking out the Attas shafts in my R9.

Wow that list got me all excited. It like golfer porn, I can't wait to hit anything and everything.

Love this list! I'm getting really excited as there is a ton of equipment I want to try. I'm really hoping to take the TA7's out for a round. I'm just hoping to get through all the wonderful equipment and give as much quality feedback as I can! I'm so excited to be at demo day again.
