BRIDGESTONE TOUR TEAM MEMBER AI MIYAZATO REGAINS WORLD¹S #1 RANKING WITH
VICTORY AT SAFEWAY CLASSIC
Miyazato Records 5th LPGA Victory of 2010 With Tourstage golf ball.

PORTLAND, OREGON Japan¹s Ai Miyazato soared back to the top of the Rolex
Women¹s World Golf Rankings with her victory this Sunday at Pumpkin Ridge
Golf Club. Miyazato went wire-to-wire, carding a tournament low 11-under
par, besting here nearest competitors by two shots at the 2010 Safeway
Classic. The victory was Miyazato¹s fifth of the year, setting her personal
career best for most LPGA wins in one season.

Miyazato won the event with a Tourstage X-01G+ prototype golf ball,
manufactured by Bridgestone and popular in Japan where its Tour-level
performance is often compared to the Bridgestone TOUR B330-S, the company¹s
comparable ball played in the U.S. on the PGA, Champion and Nationwide
Tours. Miyazato earned $225,000 for her victory, and expanded her lead on
the 2010 LPGA Money List to nearly $15,000 more than the #2 earner.

Bridgestone Golf¹s portfolio of golf balls, internationally, includes the
Tourstage, Bridgestone and Precept brands. For more information on what the

It's pretty cool when you have several ladies battling it out for the top spot. How many times has the top spot changed since Lorena's last tournament? Four I think?

Yoroshiku, Ai-chan! Glad to see her win and get back to #1, but with how competitive the LPGA this year I have a feeling she wont stay there long.

She's a solid player!! Maybe I can start to like knee-high socks afterall :D

TO me she is the coolest person on the LPGA and I love her game. People thought the LPGA may faulter when Lorena took her first retirement, but to me the LPGA has actually been more interesting than some of the PGA events. It will be interesting to see who could be number one next week.
