Bad club selection on the Par 3 for Watson. Needs to chip it close.
 
Decent chip but that's the scary length putt left for par.
 
Just heard from a media friend out there and he said expect players to come back to the pack on teh back 9. Whether or not he is right, we will see, but he usually is. He said "Its getting very cold and the wind is picking up".

Here are some reports

Butch spent more time with Phil than DJ. Said DJ was just killing the ball on the range and he and Phil were having a great time laughing on the putting green with their coach.

TW was focused and tense. Eager to get out. Said it would be very hard to see a really low number, but may not need to with the conditions and players coming back to the pack.

Said he expected a few guys to fall back.
 
Even in Costas' intro DJ was an after thought to the biggies on the tee and on deck...

Definitely. It's to be expected at Majors. The back nine on Sunday, that's where all the pressure is.

Ben Curtis (T18) is the new leader in the clubhouse at +7.
 
The forecast a Pebble is for temps in the 50's. Winds right now at 17mph, but expected to die down to 11mph. I agree with your friend that some at the top will come back to the field, but it may be nerves more than weather that causes that. The guys that have been there always have the advantage in these situations. It remains to be seen if the final pairing has the cool to put up with a major championship back nine... this could be good.

Those are teh ones that Phil would have to make in order to have a shot. Leaderboard is getting interesting as El Perkins drops a shot.
