also let me know your thoughts on that hybrid. it would be the only candidate to replace the machspeed. it looks great!

i'll be interested to see whether or not you pull the trigger on the 24's. i can't believe that no one here's really hit/demo'd them.

They have a 6 iron at GG thats a demo so no tape used on it, it def wears but its not too bad. But if you dont like some wear these probably are not the clubs for you.

I agree. really, what club doesnt wear? Even my machspeeds have wear and tear showing on the chrome.

So how do yours look after a few rounds? The ones we are testing have a nice wear on them, that I really like.

i saw that pic, wasn't it after the first range session? i'm just curious to see how they wear after a week or so or a month, whenever, it's fine with me. like you said, they're not available to me anyway.

sweet, thanks dude. i just know that "wear" is such an issue for some, and i'd like to see how they're wearing.

Ive got a few rounds and a few range visits on mine and they look pretty good. Nothing that bothers me. I noticed some weird scratches, maybe from cheap range balls, not sure. I'll clean mine up tomorrow and post some pictures.
 
Wanted to throw some pictures up of my X-24's now that Ive got some good wear on them. I dropped my 6 iron at the range the other day and it fell twice on the concrete...grrrrrrrr , so that left some nasty scuff marks. Here are a few pics, hopefully this gives everyone a good idea of what to expect.

Nice pics man. They look fantastic. I know there is concern over how these types of clubs wear but it really is cool to see.

My swing coach had one of these X24 6 irons laying around today. During a drink of cold water between lessons I had to hit a few balls with it. WOW that club sure was sweet and solid! Kelly got a big grin on her face and said put it back Bill :eek:)...... I was very impressed with the solid feel of the club. Good stuff for sure!!!!!!

I picked up that there orange sparkler x-24 and it was as red hot as those pesk calloway's legs after a sunburn. If they had a snake on the back this ole guy would be charming them in and out of my bag down in west palm beach and that ole jb would have no chance.

lmao -- Yep they were solid and set up good to my eye. Kelly just grinned and said JB's not going to let you take them to Florida if you lose that bet so just suck it up :eek:)...... I'm hoping they have those X24's to rent,,,, that is if I don't get to carry the snakes down there. I think I could be quite sastified playing with those orange weapons at WPB :eek:)............

I love the callaway X series irons. They are NIIICE!!

Looks like you got some pretty consistent wear, good job on the swing. My irons have scuffs all over, and my poor 8 iron which I do most of my range work with has taken a pretty bad beating all over the face :-(
