To What Should The Kid Be Listening?

Apologies for the slight threadjack, but this is hardly my area of expertise.

The Kid got two iTunes gift cards for his birthday and can't decide what to buy.

When quizzed, his specifications were, "I like the Black Eyed Peas and new rock. No love songs."

Please bear in mind that he's 12, so no naughty words or adult themes.

P.S. Boo Girl has the same question, except she loves Taylor Swift, love songs, and some country. I suggested Faith Hill, and she looked at me blankly.

have you ever tried last.fm?
i use that to research bands/songs... listen to previews... even full songs with an option to buy from itunes or other sources... just a suggestion...

im listening to

Ah geez. That's not really something you can decide for someone else. I mean, I like/dislike stuff by the same artists.

What does he naturally listen too? Does he like any specific music videos?

You could go to various internet sites and find stuff and then buy it at iTunes. Lala.com for example. Some of the songs are cut short, but you still get an idea.
