President Obama made a speech some where today where he was telling folks that they had to tighten up their belts, and not buy things they could not afford. Apparently one of the things Americans can't afford are gambling trips to Vegas. So, at the President's request, please cancel any trips you might have planned for Las Vegas. Your money will be wasted, and any winnings will be won by a very small fraction of those visiting. :D

Needless to say our (former mob lawyer) Mayor Goodman is pretty pissed off with the Prez right about now.. He will probably want to meet up with the President and have a few choice words with him.:bicker: I am not speaking poorly of our Mayor for his demeanor in this issue. He has been one of the better Mayors we have in quite some time. :clapp:

Lets remember that this is a golf forum and a banter forum, but politics get ugly fast.

Didnt he say this a few months ago too?

I guess it's safe for us to go then, because my wife has an uncanny way of walking out of casinos with more than she walked in with. But when we factor in what I lose, we're lucky to break even!

I'm just having some fun. Obama said it is jest, and Vegas will still have folks visiting here. Go a head and delete the thread if want.

Oscar Goodman? I didn't realize that he was still kicking.

He was the attorney to the stars, some of his clients included:

Frank "Lefty" Rosenthal

Anthony "Tony The Ant" Spilotro

Joe Agosto

Allen Glick

Nick Civella

Obama said it both times. Once a while back, and once today.
I could of sworn I heard a politician say it before, I don't recall who it was or when though.

Depending which buffet you eat at, you almost have to win at black jack to afford the buffet. I can remember eating $1.59 buffets down town at the Mint Hotel. Some of them are now up in $25+ range for one person.
Hey I am still comming to Vegas. I enjoy my blackjack and buffets too much

Don't worry, us Canadians will leave our funny (colored) money so Obama can take it (taxes) to finance his Obamacare. Planning to be there in early March to do my part and maybe leave a few ProV's in the desert too. :D

We usually hit the Bellagio buffet every time we are there. Just under $30, but totally worth it.
