Bama - Is it an electric pressure cooker or a stove top one? I've been thinking about getting one. Do you enjoy using it? I've heard great things about the new ones.

I grew up using stovetop ones...
The one I have is 13 years old and starting to show its age...
I use it 1-2 times per month for cooking only..(no canning)

I am going to start looking for another one soon..
The 6qt one feeds our family of 3 nicely with leftovers

Im thinking it might be taco night.

Are these from the thisiswhyyourfat.com website? That site is awesome!

Most of them are, but sometimes you find a treasure during random searches.

I'm not a big fan of donuts, but the Krispy Kreme bread pudding looked good.

Lemon pepper chicken, red beans and rice, green beans and a salad.

GG and I are headed to the new club for our 1st dinner there.

My conveyor belt installation crews stay in a small town in east central Arizona a few nights each month. The restaurant they go to has Tuesday night Taco night. If you beat the record for the most tacos consumed, you eat free.

One of my guys set the record with 16 and another one broke it the next week with 20. First guy says next time they go he is eating 22.

I had four and had to waddle across the street to the motel. These are guys of 5-10, 175, so its not like they are huge.

Wife wanted Pizza Hut, large pepperoni lovers stuffed crust.......it sucked. Hopefully will be better tomorrow.

I was bad too - I had a grilled cheese with turkey bacon. Oh and a salad.

Wow--didn't take long to get in!

Nope. It was quite good. So far we are happy with the club choice. Scallops and pasta with sundried tomato pesto for me, Veal something or other for GG.

I'm going to the Barona Casino tonight with some friends. First time there. Of all the casino buffets everyone just raves about this one. I mean everyone...I haven't eaten all day so I'm going for the see food. I see it...I eat it.

I got a taco cart at my house for my B day party last year. We ended up having a contest, I made it to 16 but my buddy did 18, they were little tacos though. After about 4 bottles of wild turkey between us, it made it hard to keep down the tacos. It was no fun cleaning up the tacos the next day.

Chicken chili, cornbread, and salad. Cold, damp, windy day here (one of several).

I made a copy cat recipe of Wendy's chili. The wife and girl like Wendy's chili. Turned out exactly the same, except for the extra cayenne.

First time we haven't golfed on a Sunday in months so I cooked and watched the Packers game. The girl went to Six Flags Friday with her class for Fright Night and had a sore neck from one of the roller coasters.

Homemade chicken pot pie (well I cheated and bought a ready-made crust), salad and apple crisp.

My wife and I had a creative itch and tried a recipe from The Food Network - Chicken Milanese with tomato and fennel sauce. When I was making the sauce, I thoiught it might end up too "licorice-y", but the dish turned out great. The boys weren't crazy about the cherry tomatoes, but they ate it any and was surprised at how good it was!

You gotta make your own crust - it is really not that hard. The secret is to freeze the mixing bowl and use ice water in the mix so the shortening doesn't melt while you are working the dough.

Strip Steak, corn on the cob and a root beer. Health food.

Yup. That's the secret. Don't handle it too much with the hands. what happens is the solid balls of fat get rolled out and flattened in the dough. Then when it bakes they melt leave air pockets in the crust making it flaky but...use butter. Shortening can kill a whole generation of 50 year old men. Some think the crisco makes a flakier crust but the fact is it just can take more handling and hand heat than butter making it more forgiving. Work quick and cold with the butter and it's gonna be mighty tasty. Ha! Another tip is to use a big fat 6 lb. stewing hen. You can stew it for hours as it's real tough chicken but in that long stewing time is where you get the richness from the bones. You can't stew a fryer that long or it will just leave strings of chicken in the pot. Ha! Cooking with Arc! Look out food channel...here I come...
