Meatballs vs Meat Sauce

Meat ball is elite when done right

Meat sauce

Clearly people are missing out.

The meatball is far superior to meat sauce…unless the meatball is poorly made
When my parents first got married, my mom thought she would treat my dad and make spaghetti, and meatballs from scratch like my grandmother used to make. While they were eating, my dad couldn't put his finger on it, but he knew something was missing from the meatballs. He asked my mom what kind of seasonings she used, and she asked in reply, "Seasonings?" She had just rolled up ground beef into balls and fried them up.

Next, I'll tell everyone about the time she made turkey tetrazzini and forgot the turkey.

Heavy on the meat, meat sauce.

Give me a good meatball over a good meat sauce any day.

I prefer meatballs. Good meatballs are hard to beat. Crappy meatballs suck.

I love both....but for pasta give me meat sauce.

For meat balls....I'll make a meatball sub or something.

But in pasta I want meat sauce

meatball every single time.

The best spaghetti I have regularly has both meat sauce AND meatballs (and Italian sausage) so I say…

Meatballs. We make them at home frequently. I also make my own sauce

I prefer meat sauce.

Meatballs, when done right has a higher ceiling as others have said, in my opinion. A poorly made meatball is a tragedy.

I'll have to go meatballs because you can make a pretty amazing sauce without meat in it to go with the spaghetti if you need to as well. Then mash up your meatball and you've all of a sudden got the best of both worlds.

Gimme tha balls all day long

Meat balls

A good meatball( beef and pork mix) in a good marinara sauce and semola pasta.

Meatballs all day. All the actual meat.

Meatballs. A good sauce doesn’t need meat, adding meatballs is just a bonus

This thread made me get spaghetti for lunch!
