New THP Workstation

Very nice looking set up GG, now get busy and quit goofing off. :D




You know none of us would ever accuse you or JB of goofing off as hard as you two work. Seriously, thanks again for all each of you do.

Went from 4-year-old 13'' MacBook to this!
 
I tried to hold off on getting a new computer for as long as possible but I couldn't take it anymore. My old computer was running SO slow because of all the programs I run and it was just time.
 
Very nice, GG! The computer geek in me approves.

And you too, _JL_! (Being a Mac fan, I guess I'd have to approve...)

Same here GG. I'm a designer and it was getting to the point where I couldn't even run Photoshop and Illustrator at the same time.
 
If I said I wasn't jealous I would be lying
 
Congrats on the new workstation GG, very nice and love that JB didn't talk you into getting a buttery soft mac for your office.

Haha, he did. He kept trying to sell me on the all-in-one Mac but I just wouldn't go for it. I am a PC girl. I have used Mac's in the past but I just don't care for their OS.

Very nice GG! I have a super large screen at work to view construction plans, but at home I just have a 14in laptop and there is a world of difference. Great setup. Hope it serves you well.

You'll have to update us on how the touch screen works/deals with finger prints!
I've been leery ever since I saw one of those at Futureshop.

We have over 250 Dell laptops and desktops at work that I am responsible for.
You have made a wise choice in your purchase.
 
I wish my desk was that clean!

Enjoy the new machine GG, and like others, I am interested in how you like the touchscreen. I am always cleaning my monitors, I couldn't imagine touching them and smudging them all the time!

That is very reassuring to hear. I was a little nervous about getting a Dell because I have never owned one before. It was between this computer and the HP Touchsmart but this one had more features and better specs so I went with the Dell.

The one thing I don't like is the keyboard that came with it. I am so used to the soft, quick response laptop keyboard. Any suggestions of a wireless keyboard that I can get that is similar to a laptop keyboard?

The smudges are a bit annoying, but a quick clean and it's good as new. So far I really like the touchscreen, especially for photo editing.
