I'm hoping to buy a 910 d2 9.5/8.5 loft and want to know what shaft I'd suit

Firstly I have a relatively accurate swing to rory mcilroy as you might know he has a shaft that is not only rare to find but for me difficult to change shafts (no titleist hosel)

What shaft from the range of shafts available in the drivers custom shafts on titleists website would suit my swing

Thankyou for your time and hopefully some answers :D

We cant tell you what shaft you need without knowing your swing speed or tempo or anything like that. Your best bet is to go get fitted.

I'm sorry but there is not way I can help you with that information. What does accurate to RM mean? What are your SS numbers? What is your typical drive look like? What do you want the drive to look like? A fitting is always appropriate but I don't know if you have anyone local that can fit you.

yeah i got no where to go thats why i have no info on my swing speed etc
have a look at rory mcilroys swing as i want the outcome that he has (and the fact i swing like him)
it bugs me that titleist havnt got rombax 7v05 as i got nowhere to go to that have shaft pullers
so a shaft thatll be close to mcilroys swing
my club that i use now is hitting high and fading (cobra speed ld offset ladies with aldila vs proto-hl 47-l) very flexible shaft
i want a stiff/ x-stiff shaft
sorry for bad info but its the only info i can aquire
i live in wales next to england (where celtic manor/ryder cup 2011 was)
and theres no where that does fitting even though titleist say they do fittings as ive been to the places before
thanks

edit: he plays a draw and a mid launch but id like a low height outcome

How far does your drive go? That could give us a little info to at least guess at your SS.

250 yards max (more or less)
Sorry for bad info

Just need a shaft from the collection of custom shafts available at titleist that'll replicate the rombax 7v05 x-stiff that he uses .
Thanks

Gezer I looked on the Titleist shaft chart and I didn't see that shaft. I did see 2 Rombax shafts and they are both low launching. So if low launching is what you want I would take a look at the Ahina and the PX

I know that I hit a V3 with the RIP 60 and it was a winner. Get fitted, by the right person.

That's why im asking as there's no ready made shaft (shaft with the surfeit hosel) of the rombax 7v05 and that's what mcilroy uses

And was wondering about rip 60 and px 7a3/b3
Which is better (bare in mind a rough idea of my swing)
And what flex is px 7a3 a's apparently the c is stiff shaft
Thanks

Way too far , 4 hour drive and price

Mid (by Shropshire)
Near a place called Oswestry but when I type on titleist to find a fitter they said places I know that don't do that sort of things (they just sell the drivers)

You need a place with a launch monitor to get your stats then you can get the correct shaft

Oh so thats great then a's there's none close to me (within 50 miles ish )

If you're going to drop $450 (or whatever the Pound equivalent is), don't you think it might be worth the gas money to get fit properly? I realize it isn't the same as spending thousands, but it's something that will hopefully last you a long time. Maybe make a golf weekend out of it?

If all else fails... I vote for the 'ahina 82 only because I actually hit it, and hit it so darn well to a nice low-mid ball flight.

For me to go get fitted, I'd have to drive that if not more. Sometimes to get what you desire you have to go the extra mile!!

In my opinion, you are more or less just playing roulette when picking out a shaft without having numbers. It would be well worth the investment in both time and money to get what you want. Nothing would suck more than paying good money for a shaft or club to realize it doesn't fit or suit your swing. Given your limited resources, I'd take a little extra time and go about it the way THE BOSS suggested.

if you have never been fit nefore how do you know the shaft you have now isnt hindering you?
i got fit for my last driver and havent looked back since ive added massave yardage on my drives because my clubs fit for me.

or try these apparently the largest fitting centre in your county

Ha LOL
The only thing they got is a two story driving range (crap course) ..........
Oh my god I think they do fittings (one of the closest places and me forgetting that woopsie) but to be honest I think they just specialise in reshafting and regripping and no selection of shafts
I'm planning on going to my local (who stock 910s and give the demos a go as I know they got Aldila rip 60 there )
A lot of places require memberships (stupid but it's like a ,"join us and get free stuff like a free fitting etc.")

I thought I was hitting the ball pretty well until our demo day. Just for fun I got on the launch monitor and compared my r9 supertri stiff with a calloway(don't remember which one), and then the Titleist rep had me try the 910 d3 stiff. He dropped me to an 8.5 degree and then we tried four different stiff shafts. All the shafts were at least 15 yards longer carry than my setup. All were pretty good but the matrix shaft had 20 25 yards more carry with a lower launch angle so I also get 5-10 yards more roll. Altogether 30 plus yards that I didn't know I was losing. GET FITTED.

Oh trust me it's hindering me but the degree on my head is too lofted (13-15*) so it going up not forward
That's why I want to give a new club a go and the only reason I went down the titleist road is because of my swing similarity to Rory mcilroy
It's getting more accurate now (including the tempo and speed)

you could go and hit every shaft they had and you might find one that works but and heres the but it probally wont be the best one for you. if you going to spend £250+ on a driver i would get it fitted and if you buy the driver the fittings normally free.
i hit loads of drivers and loads of shafts when i got fit thats why i was happy when i got my 910D2
