or do you all use a specialist wedge?

I have my sand wedge in my bag but always use my Titleist Vokey 58*

I'm just thinking I might as well take it out and free up yet more room for other clubs

Mine didn't originally come with a sand wedge, but I would definitely use my aftermarket wedges. My Vokey's are unbeatable  haha

Use CG15 I put G15 SW away.

People still buy set wedges? I stop at PW and get different wedges from there that are actually designed as wedges, not as part of a set of irons. And I don't disagree with the merit of buying a pitching wedge, too.

I only carry my Gap and Pitching wedges. Found by choking up on them and practicing 1/4, 1/2 and 3/4 shots I can do anything with the 2 of them that I could do with a 56* or 60* wedge

My set came with a PW and AW. I bought a CG15 58* and thats what I use most of the time on sand shots.

My Nike Slingshot set came with a SW. I just LOVE it. From greenside bunkers it's just great! I also have a CG15 SW I just got. I haven't tried it out of bunkers yet (no bunkers at the ranges I use). I look forward to trying it out on the course. It'll have to be outstanding to take the place of my Nike SW, though.

I carry my i10 Sand wedge...Liked the Ping S so much I added a ping Gap Wedge to the mix.

I have an AW and a SW that matches my iron set. I need the added forgiveness of the cavity backs. I've never actually used specialty wedges that didn't match my iron set. Does that make me look "amateurish"? I bet some people look at my bag and think so. I don't care - it works for my game.

I use aftermarket Gap and Sand Wedges (currently Vokeys)

Like all clubs, I don't think there is a right or wrong answer. It is very subjective. I use 3 wedges matched to my irons along with one old wedge and get along just fine. I prefer maintaining the same "feel" so I like my setup. No right answer.

When I bought my X22's they came with the PW of course, but also the AW and SW so I just use them. They work for me and get the job done so I keep using them. Sure I might get better performance with something else, but like I said since they work I see no need to spend the money on another club at this point. Especially not when I want to replace my driver with something better fitted to my uninjured shoulder swing and a 3w as well.

The issue I've had is that I'm so used to using my Vokey wedge that when I bought new irons I just couldn't use the pitching wedge or sand wedge at all!

Have fixed this with the pitching wedge by lots of practise but gave up on the sw

Just bought the AW to go with my set. Got tired of having too much mismatch. Still using my TM xFT's for wedges though....love those clubs!

I picked up the matching Burner SW after the fact, actually.

I needed the forgiveness on full shots but I think I miss how smooth my forged wedge was on chips. The Burner SW seems little hot.

I don't have a stock sand wedge. Never have gotten one with an iron set.

when i got my burners 2.0 i also tried the wedges and i really liked them,
went for pw aw sw lw and get some nice spin, well tell a lie, the ball doesnt actaully spin back, but does check up nicely and slows it right down.
